About

About this site.
There’s not really a whole lot to be said about it. I started out with a Livejournal in 2002 as an actual journal-type thing. Over time, it kinda morphed into me posting sites that I thought were interesting, and maybe writing a bit about them (but nothing really serious). I shifted to much more political stuff, and then (as I started subbing and teaching) funny things my students said.
A bit about me.
I graduated from high school in 2001 and started at Messiah College as a freshman that fall, majoring in Chemistry with a minor in Secondary Education. That’s where I was when September 11 happened, and I got more interested in politics than I had been before (I was mildly interested in it, but mostly just for something to argue with people about). For various reasons, I quit Messiah in January, and enrolled at Shippensburg University. After one semester in the Chemistry program at Ship (taking Chemical Dynamics and the Quantitative Chemical Analysis Lab) I decided to switch to Political Science and get a Bachelor’s of Science in Education. I picked up a minor in history along the way, and I graduated in December of 2005. I started subbing day-to-day after that, and after getting certified in English, spent some time teaching English as a long-term sub at a nearby high school, and then in my home town middle school. I’m back to subbing day-to-day at this point and working on my Master’s in Applied History. At this point, it looks like I’ll finish up this summer. I like subbing day-to-day, but I can’t afford to keep it up, and I’ve discovered that I love archaeology, so we’ll see if I can land a job in that.
So that’s more or less it.
