Today in the news, we find this article discussing Iran’s threat of closing the Strait of Hormuz if it is attacked. Now, as we’ve all become aware (hopefully), the US is unlikely to attack Iran in the near future. Israel is. Would the Iranians close the Strait to the US if it was in a fight with Israel? It’s possible, but that would be asking for a fight that they really can’t afford. We’ll have to see.

This article is quite interesting. It’s nice to know that things aren’t as bad as people like to make out — and reinforces what I already thought about the negative aspects of the 24-hour news cycle.
