Once again, Pat Robertson is saying stupid stuff again, although this time he’s only making himself look like an idiot. This is a big improvement, as usually the publicized things that he says reflect poorly on Christians as a group. One interesting thing though (and someone with more experience with weight machines than me will have to help me out on this one… if you look at the picture, he doesn’t seem to have his feet placed in such a position that he’d be able to effectively lift it. Every time I’ve ever used a leg-press machine, I had to put my feet farther down on the plate to allow me to push my legs straight out, instead of putting me at an awkward angle (like he seems to be in in the picture). The other funny thing is that the props that you use to hold the weights up while loading them and getting ready to lift seem to be set, so that Mr. Robertson isn’t bearing any weight whatsoever.
