Iranian Saber Rattling

The Iranians are busy rattling the saber by testing their Shihab-3 missile. Coincidentally enough, this was immediately before Bush met with Olmert to discuss what to do about Iran. Luckily, according to some analysts, the missile has only been lightly tested. The recent test was not completely successful, either, so there’s some hope that any used during war would malfunction. Besides that, Israel has anti-missile missiles which should provide some defense. However, there are about 26 countries within range of the Shihab-3. A number of US interests are included in the range as well, particularly in Iraq and around the Persian Gulf.
