Creepy

Wednesday, April 5th, 2006

This is just creepy. Even if it’s not true (I’m no expert, and can’t tell if a picture has been photoshopped) it’s still worth a look.

Youth Group

Wednesday, April 5th, 2006

This one isn’t from school, technically, but was from my small group tonight in youth group. We were discussing Palm Sunday…

Me: “Why is Palm Sunday important to Christians?”
One of the kids: “Oh! That was the day Jesus rode into that one place, and all the little children threw pine cones at him!”

…and later…

Me: “What does the word ‘Hosanna’ mean?”
Another of the kids: “I don’t know, but it’s the first word of ‘The Star Spangled Banner.’”

Babies

Wednesday, April 5th, 2006

I was covering a Home Economics class this morning, and one of the students returned the baby simulator that he had taken home the night before (it’s an assignment to show that they know how to take care of a baby — the baby has equipment in it that reports back to the teacher how well it was taken care of). He complained about how much it fussed, but said that “It was easy to make him be quiet though. You just had to shake him a little harder.”
Kinda scary.

PS- He WAS joking. It had actually only cried for 19 minutes for him, and slept most of the way through the night.
