Zimbabwe is having an election now too. At least according to this article, the election has been fairer than many of the ones that have recently caused upheval and the overthrow of governments in places like Ukraine and Kyrgyzstan, but it’s not perfect. It would be nice to see Mugabe out and a more fair system in place, but I suppose we have to take these things one step at a time. Growth in power for the opposition is usually a healthy sign in this sort of semi-democratic country.
