One word comes to mind when reading this article:
Duh.

I never thought I’d post a link to one of his articles, but this one is very good. Much as I disagree with him on many issues, this time he has his head on straight.

UPDATE 03/29/05 02.57 PM: Ralph Nader can now be added to Hentoff and the Pope on the incongruent list of those who support Terri Schiavo.

Hopefully this case will not set prcedent for courts to start discriminating against people of certain religions as far as juries go. Basically, I think this is ridiculous. It may be justifiable, but the article doesn’t really make clear the reason for throwing out the verdict. It sounds really bad, however.

Kyrgyzstan seems to be stabilizing. That’s all I really know about the situation, so if you want detailed discussion, you’ll have to go elsewhere.

This article shows the enormous progress that Afghanistan is making. The growth of technology is good not only for their economy, but (as my mom put it) “they’ll never be able to repress them again like they did before.”
The picture of the advertisement is just great too.

From Power Line we have this article about the rights of disabled people in society. It’s quite good, and brings up some important points.
