Boycott AIM

With this kind of restrictions to free and unmolested use of instant messenger, I’d be suprised if their new Terms of Service lasts very long. Businesses and individuals concerned with maintaining control of anything they may write or any information they may pass over instant messenger will steer clear of using it, and I’d recommend that everyone else does too. My question is if this invasive ToS extends to non-AOL clients that use the AIM network. If it lets them alone, I would recommend that everyone out there switch to Gaim. This is what I use, and while it still has some flaws, it works quite well. Then again, I use the X11 version and not Windows, so depending on your operating system it may work better or worse. Worth a try though.
