North Korea is becoming more and more paranoid about pressures both external and internal. There’s little they can do about the external pressures, so it seems they’re working on the internal ones. Definitely not a nice place to live.

Friday, March 11th, 2005A Guide To Hackers
Friday, March 11th, 2005Here’s a hint to the Constellation Energy Group: when you find a security flaw in your network, spend your time fixing it. DON’T announce how to exploit it to bring down the nation’s power grid! Then again, don’t expect too much from this article. They quote Richard Clarke at length — the same idiot who wrote an ‘expose’ on the Bush administration claiming (among other ridiculous things) that Condoleeza Rice ‘hadn’t heard of Al Qaida before he warned her about them’ prior to the 9/11 attacks.

Friday, March 11th, 2005Syrian troops are finally leaving parts of Lebanon. In an echo of doubts about Iraq, Syrian sources are saying that the election may be illegitimate without Syrian help. I think it’s safe to say that if the Syrian-backed President hadn’t reappointed the Syrian-backed Prime Minister in a blatantly obstructionist move, there wouldn’t be any question about that. It seems that Syria may well try to illegitimize the election now, just to keep their finger in things in Lebanon. I don’t think the Lebanese people will take that sitting down.
