Iraq And Vietnam Revisited

Rantingprofs has a link to an interesting article here. We’ve heard quite a bit about the Vietnamization of Iraq, but it seems that things are now (and more realistically) flowing in the other direction — it’s more likely that we’re going to have the Iraqization of Vietnam. And about time too. (You may notice that the only negative thing that the Vietnamese dissenter has to say about America’s war with Vietnam is that we lost. You can almost hear the anti-war left — predicated as it is upon the ‘evils’ of the Vietnam war — waving and shouting, “pay no attention to the man behind the iron curtain!”)

… “hey, I’m here! Look at me!” There’s really not much new information here, but it’s good to keep track of things like that. One interesting thing that appears in this article is actually a link at the bottom, to this article, which has some rather amusing quotes. The first (and rather bizarre one) is about how it’s possible that King Tut was not killed by a blow to the head, but a broken leg. There’s a bit of a difference there, and so the article is quick to point out that the bone fragments loose in Tut’s skull couldn’t have killed him. Is it me, or is the mere fact that there ARE bone fragments in his skull rather odd? The best line, however, is at the end of the article:
