This is a truly stupid idea. If something as obviously ‘free speech’ as blogs and email are suddenly regulated, what’s next? Instapundit has more. I’m all for making sure nothing unethical goes on during elections, but I don’t think that fining or imprisoning people who discuss the elections is really the way to go.
Makes this TTLB post look suspiciously prophetic — simply replace the acronym DHS in some places with the FEC.
