Thursday, February 10th, 2005Well, my sources (woohoo! I have sources!) have confirmed that this IS the same Paul V. Adams as the Dr. Adams that teaches at Shippensburg University. Sexual assault (and aggravated indecent assault) are no light charges — as the article notes, both are felonies. I’m not making any kind of presumption of guilt or innocense here, but it’s something that should be more broadly known than it seems to be. As to whether or not he’s guilty — that’s up to a court to decide.
What We Already Knew
Thursday, February 10th, 2005We already knew this one. It is a big step that North Korea has actually come out and said they have nuclear weapons. The IAEA coming out and saying that North Korea has precedence over Iran is rather new, but not particularly suprising. There’s very little background information available to me right now about conditions within the country. It’s possible that this was a purely domestic announcement meant to stabilize/increase confidence in the regime there. It’s hard to tell — we’ll have to keep an eye on things.
