…Astronomy, specifically. There’s going to be a close call in 2029, with the theoretical possibility of an asteroid 1000 feet across picking off satellites in orbit around the Earth. That’s really close. Doesn’t seem to be likely to hit us though.

UN OFF Scandal
Friday, February 4th, 2005Having dismissed the UN long ago as a corrupt collection of bureaucrats that couldn’t resolve itself out of a wet paper bag, I haven’t been closely following the latest proof of their scumbagginess (well, it’s a word now). Chrenkoff has a neat wrap up of some of the findings from other blogs so far. It’s really beyond me how he manages to read all of this stuff. He must have considerably more free time, and a much longer attention span than I do.
