Larry King asked Dan Rather if he was concerned about the Internet:
“No. I think it's a great new addition. I don't think it's going to replace radio, television or newspapers, but it will increase the flow of information…. I'm so excited about it I have a 3,000-calorie attack about every half hour thinking about its potential.”
–Dan Rather on Larry King Live, April 19, 2000.

Wonder if he wishes he hadn't said that, whatever that meant.

A letter from a US Representative to the Chairman of the Subcommitte on Telecommunications, about (what else?) the Killian memos. It will be interesting to see what kind of response this gets; it's from a Republican, so it might well be dismissed as partisan rhetoric. In related news, Rasmussen has poll results on public opinion of the validity and importance of the Killian Memos. I'm not suprised about the third paragraph; I've thought for a while that attacks on Bush's Guard service were mostly preaching to the choir. There are some interesting links at the bottom of this page, which include information on media reliability and partisanship, which are also worth looking at.

I agree with Powerline: this is probably the best intro article to the blogosphere that I've read.

Opinion analysis of Fox News poll results. Also not good for Kerry.

Interesting analysis on the structure of presidential campaign staffs — focusing on Kerry's.

Rather seems to have a past when it comes to false stories. Quite interesting.
