This is a hint to Karl Rove: it's time to start publicizing Kerry's Senate record, since it's obvious that if he's the most liberal member of the Senate, he should be recognized as more of what he is.
Then again, this is what happens when you don't take any positions other than not being George Bush.

Tuesday, September 7th, 2004…they seem to be trying to put me out of business. All of a sudden my source for data to predict elections are predicting them themselves!
Oh well. Their analysis is better anyhow.

Tuesday, September 7th, 2004Watched pieces of the Bush and Kerry acceptance speeches today in my “political parties and the election” class. It was amazing how Bush, although slurring or improperly enunciating his words at a few places seemed to respond well to the crowd. Kerry, on the other hand, continually interrupted cheers from the crowd. It's one thing to stop a crowd that has been applauding forever, but in a number of places this was definitely not what was going on. Watching for a while you got the impression that Kerry just wanted those people he was talking to to shut up and listen to him. This may be what some people like in a candidate, but to me it gave the unnerving impression that he thought what he said mattered, and everyone else should listen, shut up, and follow along. Maybe he'd learn how to handle a crowd better than that after a while in office, but I rather suspect it's his attitude overcoming any sense of how to handle a crowd.
