I was rather dissappointed today to discover that someone whom I generally regard as being intelligent and discriminating in their sources of information actually seems to believe that Michael Moore is a reliable source of information. I sent her these links, so i'll post them here since I already have them sitting here.
This one is about the misleading bits in Moore's new movie. The first couple are kinda sketchy, but as you get farther into the list, the information that pops up (which is well cited from reputable sources) shows that there are a lot of problems with Moore's particular version of reality.
This one is by a liberal (at least I'm assuming so because of the remarks along the line of Reagan being an evil lizard that he made in his obituary of Reagan) and is printed in the slate.
Moorewatch.com is one of several sites that keep track of all the falsehoods (and incidental dumb things) that crop up around Michael Moore.
An article about Moore vs. McCain-Feingold.
Caught in a lie…
And finally, the one that amuses me the most… Moore leading the charge to vote out Bush by voting early and often. A form of voter fraud, I do believe.
So yeah, read these, and think carefully about whether you can trust what this man has to say. His work might be entertaining, but beware taking it as gospel truth.
